A short reflection on lessons from dogs, exploring how to be gentle and wild, hold strength without lashing out, and learn from everyday encounters to move forward with worth and curiosity.
The host opens with a friendly morning greeting, asks how viewers are doing, and reassures them that it's okay if they're not feeling momentum. This segment sets an empathetic tone and affirms the viewer's capabilities.
The speaker brings up a message from a friend about what dogs teach humans, framing the topic for the rest of the video. This chapter transitions the conversation from check-in to the central metaphor.
The host explores the three qualities—gentleness, wildness, and the ability to bite but choose not to—illustrating how dogs embody these traits and how they relate to human behavior. Examples from personal dogs underline each point.
The speaker invites viewers to practice the three dog-like qualities, notes the value of learning from others, briefly explains Cadre's purpose, and signs off. This wraps up with a clear takeaway and encouragement.
Hey, good morning cadre. How are we doing on this Tuesday? I hope you're doing pretty swell. I hope Monday was the start to some good momentum this week, but also knowing that maybe it wasn't. Maybe you're feeling like it's Thursday already or maybe the gloomy skies or the shorter days or the cooler weather is making you go, gosh, I am not building momentum. Um, it's okay. Okay. Meaning you're still incredibly capable, incredibly worthy and probably going to accomplish some pretty miraculous things today, even if it doesn't feel like those things are as energy giving as maybe they did in another chapter of your life.
I'm glad I'm here. I'm glad you're here. I know the things I know and I care about you. Dogs teach us lots of things. One of my friends who is a dog person So I almost said one of my dog friends, but I do have friends who are dogs, but this is one of my human friends who's also a dog person, dog friends. She sent me an image this morning about things that my dog taught me about being human. And then it says, my dog taught me to be gentle and to be wild and to be able to bite anyone, but to not do that.
I really like the three of those things working together. To be gentle and wild. To go, hey, I can live softly in the world, but I can also fly. I can also explore. I can also be reactive and primal and playful. And then that third part, to be able to bite anyone and to choose not to do that. The ability to speak the truth quickly, to resist, to stand up, to be courageous, to be curious, to break the mold, to ask the question. These are all things that dogs do. I think about my three dogs and they will be incredibly gentle.
And then all of a sudden they will go wild. And there are those moments where they will go, I can go ahead and snap right now, but I'm going to choose not to. But I can, but I'm not going to. My invitation for you today is to be like the dog, to be gentle, to be wild, to be able to bite, and to choose not to. Our furry friends teach us lots, and so do each other. You can learn from anyone if you have a space to encounter anyone. That's what Cadre's doing. Providing you space to encounter anyone.
See you tomorrow.
