Yellow diamonds in the light Now we're standing side by side As your shadow crosses mine Good morning, Cadre. It's the way I'm feeling I just can't deny. And I'll hit pause there. That's a We Found Love cover by the singer Michael Shines. I'll talk about Michael in a moment, but first of all, I'm glad I'm here. I'm glad you're here. I know things I know and I care about you. It is Friday where I am. Luke, good morning, my friend. Always feeling pretty okay whenever I'm right here in the cadre sphere.
No matter if we're feeling great or feeling empty, cadre is always that space where we can go and be exactly where we are with what we have. Within that. Carrie, nice to see you. So, Michael Shines. Michael Shines is from Little Falls, Minnesota. And he's a musician. He's a dad of a stepchild and an adopted child. And he is called to be a musician in this world, which is not an easy call to have. I did a show with him last night and about living the dream and about the best moments, the worst moments, the hard moments.
The moment's why you keep going. And it's funny because Michael tells a story about what may be perceived as his best moment. And there's kind of a place in the music world where you can create a profile of you singing or playing or whatever you do. And then people can go, hey, we want that guy. his voice, his instrument in this thing that we're creating. So all of a sudden this artist in Poland messaged him and said, hey, we need you to sing lead on this EDM cover of this song. And he's like, okay.
So he dropped the recording. And that was the end of it. He made, whatever he made to give his voice to this recording for this band. And all of a sudden he gets this message. He's like, hey, Michael, the song's blowing up. He's like, okay, good morning, Mary. Nice to see you, my friend. So all of a sudden, you know, he hears that the song is blowing up in Poland and he just lets it be.
