What is being yourself actually mean? How do we know we are doing it?
It's powerful when you can be yourself. A lot of times we want to be a chameleon so that we can, say, be liked. Being authentic to who you are is being able to let people see you. Sometimes it's like introducing yourself to yourself again.
Your heart gets just dimmed, right? In the sense of you just shining through and shining. Work on being yourself every day. Do the things, the activities, hang out with the people that make you support you. Step more into who you already are.
Danielle Jokoden: I help people uncover that limiting belief and break free. Break out and step into your freedom. Reach out, questions, comments, let me know. Have a blessed day.
Hello. Hello. Danielle Jokonen here. Talking about being yourself. What does that even mean? And how do you know you're actually being yourself? Such a big statement, right? And it's powerful when you can be yourself. Think about the people you're with. Do you shift to who you are when you're with them? Do you change? I call it like putting on a different hat or putting on a different mask. Are you able to just be yourself everywhere you go? Like, every, say, situation and or every person? I like to say, if you had everybody, you know, especially closely in one room, would you be able to act the same?
Like, be yourself the whole time? Do you need to change? When you go to one person or the next person or a situation, like a company, an organization, an activity, can you be yourself everywhere you go? That is a powerful thing to be able to do when I feel like it's also, I would say, being authentic to who you are is being able to let people see you, like, really get. Get to see you while meeting people where they're at as well, making a heart to heart connection. It can take something. Again, it's going back to your intention of what you are.
Stand for. Stand for love. Stand for being yourself number one. Start there and see how it plays out. It's a powerful practice to be in. Who am I? Who am I in this situation? Am I in this situation? Does it equal the same? Be yourself. And how do we do it? Play with that one. Be an inquiry about it. Can I be myself today? Who is myself? If I had to describe myself to somebody else, who would I describe myself as? It's a very, very, very powerful thing. Oh, hello. Confess. I'm a chameleon. Yeah. Thank you for sharing that.
It's very normal, I would say. A lot of times we want to be a chameleon so that we can, say, be liked. Right. Fit in. Maybe something happened once and it didn't go well. So it's like, I bet it's a way to protect. So applaud yourself for doing that. There's pros and cons. There's a benefit, right? You're safe. Right. You know that you'll be liked or you'll be okay. That's the benefit, the impact. Me. Yeah. You're not being able to really maybe be you and connect heart to heart. Nothing wrong or bad.
It's just, what do you want? Right? So I applaud you for being able to notice that. Like, you see that that's step number one. And then if you want to shift that being a chameleon, you can be yourself. Like, I'll release being a chameleon and adapting to whoever I'm with or whatever situation I'm in. And now I stand in being me. And sometimes it's like introducing yourself to yourself again. Who am I? Who am I now? Which is actually can be really, really exciting as well. It can be super scary. It can be easy just to go back to the norm.
What I normally do as being the essay example chameleon or step forward and step into a new you. It's like shedding your skin. Not that anymore. Thank you for serving me up to this point. So beautiful. Yeah. Normal. Also recovering people pleaser. Normal as well to be a chameleon and then people please, like making sure everybody's good. Because if somebody, if they're not good, if everyone else isn't good, it usually has a meaning about yourself. Right? Ourself. I'll people, please. So everyone's good, therefore then I'm okay or everything's okay or I'll be safe, right?
So it's normal to do that again. It's a way to protect. It's like, became a superpower and it works until it doesn't work anymore. And so it's now it's like, okay, yeah, this doesn't work anymore. I don't want to. People, please. It robs you from being you, right? In your heart. Your heart gets just dimmed, right? In the sense of you just shining through and shining. Very common. And like I said, it's very beautiful that you see it. And now you can work on just stepping forward and being yourself.
And it may seem a little scary, your knees may shake a little, but keep going, keep going. Work on being yourself every day. It could be like, you know, who am I today? In the sense of what do I want for my breakfast? Right? Sometimes we may not even know because I'll just eat whatever one else is eating, or I'll eat this because it's what's here versus what do I really want today? What do I want to do? Who do I want to hang out with? Who are the people that make me feel full when I hang around?
Or who are the people that make me feel dimmed? Hang out with those people or those activities or those things that make you step into more who you already are. So that's another way to help be yourself. Do the things, the activities, hang out with the people that make you support you. Step more into who you already are. Beautiful. Thank you guys for tuning in. In this live. My name is Danielle Jokoden. Reach out, questions, comments, let me know. This is a powerful thing to look at because a lot of times we end up doing this because we have limiting belief, a thought about ourselves.
Or sometimes that limiting belief is we don't even see it. So I help people uncover that limiting belief and break free. Break out and step into your freedom. So have a blessed day. My name is Danielle. Thanks so much.
