Danielle Jokonen: We are often two to three breaths away from greatness. Think about running a marathon. The last couple miles are the hardest. Don't miss those magic moments at the end when you just want to give up.
Hello, everyone. Danielle Jokonen here, creator of yoga, talking about how we are often two breaths away from greatness. Yes, my friends, two breaths away from greatness. Usually we stop right before we succeed because we fail. But what you actually have to keep doing is keep going. Think about running a marathon. The last couple miles are the hardest, so you just got to keep going and finish the race. That's when the magic happens. The last two, three breaths. And I say it all the time, these are the magic moments in the yod that I teach, it's twelve minutes.
Typically in the last three minutes. I always say, these are the magic minutes you got here. Keep going, going. Don't miss this moment. And an example was just this week. My daughter, who is in first grade, couldn't make her friends birthday party. She is super sad. And she wrote a note and said, I'm sorry, I cannot come and can we have a play date at my house? And she was writing this all by herself, big girl stuff. She. I'm really proud of her. She was asking me to help her, obviously, I was helping her spell the words and the letters and da da da.
And the last two letters. The last two letters of this, you know, it's like, I don't know. It was a big writing job for her. She's like, I'm done. You do it, you do it. She was so frustrated with herself. She was doing a fantastic job. It was challenging for her. It was hard work, but it meant a lot to her, too. Then the last two letters, she's like, you do it. You do it. I'm done. You do it. And I said, no, Evelyn, you did amazing. This is when we quit. This is when we stop, come back. You can do this.
And I just cheered her on and we sat down together and she finished it. And I was like, this is a really good lesson to learn in first grade, is keep going. Pick up the pencil and start again. Stand back up and start again. Whatever it is, like, keep going. Those last through two, three things, three breasts, three minutes, 3 miles, three tests. Like three semesters. Whatever it is, is that we typically are two to three breaths away from greatness. So don't miss those magic moments at the end when you just want to give up.
It means you're actually on to something. So notice where in your life are you exhausted or you want to be done when you're almost done and you want to quit before the end. Keep going. Applaud yourself for getting there. Keep going. Again, my name is Danielle. Questions? Let me know. Have a blessed day.
