A quick farewell reminding listeners to be 'discipline focused' and a promise to return tomorrow.
Hey, good morning. Good morning, Cadre. Happy DJ Friday. Happy Friday. It is chilly in the Jeep today, but it's okay because whenever in the Cadre sphere, it's always feeling pretty good. I'm glad I'm here. I'm glad you are here. I know the things I know and I care about you. This little moment that you get each day, whenever you take it in the cadre sphere, is a really powerful reminder. It's a really powerful reminder for you saying to yourself, hey, I'm going to take some time to be curious. I'm going to take some time to be courageous and considerate and connected.
And I think if I had to pick only one letter to have all my words to start with for the rest of my life on the deserted island, I think it would be C. I love C words. There's lots of good ones, but hopefully you're having a good day. Speak wonder. AJ, hopefully you're doing good, but if you're not, here's your reminder that you are still incredibly capable, still incredibly worthy, and probably still going to accomplish some pretty miraculous things today. Discipline focus or focus discipline. Words.
Words have to mean something to you before they start holding power that you can maneuver with, right? Now we think of words like focus, you need to be focused, you need to be disciplined. I think sometimes we use those words in the exact same way, as if they are interchangeable. But focus that isn't consistent creates this feel. And discipline, I'm always disciplined without clarity as to what you're disciplined on can create rigidity. So focus without discipline can be here. And the vice versa...
You know, both of those are really hard things to be. One isolates you and one keeps you far from being grounded. Yeah, I'm getting ready to walk into a room with a group of leaders who take care of other people for a living. They work in the medical space, but not in the actual administration and administering of medicine. They're on the administration side of medicine. They're the people who walk in and go, okay, I am going to get you all ready so you can go receive medical care. They don't get the opportunity to see the patient go, thank you, doctor.
Thank you for helping me nurse. But they're the people who are doing the work of going, okay, here's all the things you need. So insurance isn't going to be confused and charge you a billion dollars for an Advil. They're the ones, they're the first people that people walking into the doctor see. And they're leading in a really hard time. And today we're going to be talking about that idea of what do you need to be focused on and how do you then discipline yourself into being focused on that consistently so then you can go, ha.
So people can know that you're going to be there in the way that they need you to be there and in a way that you can be there for your team, the way that you can be sustainable, the way that you can fill your own cup while you're filling others' cups. My invitation for you today is to think about those two words. What do you need to focus your time and your energy on in order to do the things you want to do? And then once you figure what that focus is, what are the little things you can do to make sure that you can be disciplined enough to keep that focus there?
So then life, which is really hard, can be a little bit easier in the ways that it needs to be easy. Cole, Rose, Speak Wonder, AJ, all my friends out there. the ones I've met, the ones I haven't met, go and focus on the things that are important today. And then do it because you know it's going to offer you and offer those people around you the best version of you today, which may not be the best version of you every day. You may go and say, wow, the best version of me today is not that best. That's okay.
Not like that's okay. But like, no, you're still going to do some pretty remarkable things today. Go my friends, discipline focused all around the world. I'll see you tomorrow.
