Autism Parenting Wins: Navigating the Icy Roads Anyway

If you’ve driven anywhere in Minnesota lately, you know the roads are… a lot. Snow, rain, ice, and those bumpy patches that make you slow down even when you’re already running late. It’s not the smoothest ride, but it’s manageable if you’re paying attention. That’s how this season of parenting feels to me. The road I’m traveling with my kid isn’t always easy. There are moments where I have to slow way down, give us more time, and be extra careful navigating things that didn’t used to feel so slippery.
